Extraordinary movie!!! Great story, very well written and played. I absolutely loved Summer Bishil as the lovely Jasira. Her character brought back many memories of my own teen years. Both parents had some major flaws, as can be oh so true in real life. At times I wanted to slap each of them. Some neighbors I loved, and others I hated! You'll have to watch the movie to figure out that last comment.
This is a very interesting movie dealing with sexuality, racism, and politics. A very good depiction of how difficult it is growing up in a culturally blended, sexually charged world. Everyone can take away something from this beautiful movie. It's a new addition to my favorites list!
