Ummm, this movie was definitely boundary pushing. This story of a coming of age 13 year old girl pulled out the stops for every uncomfortable and disturbing scenario that you could ever imagine. Racism, rape, statutory rape, parental neglect, parental abuse, etc. I mean what else could they have added to this movie. Summer Bishil was amazing as the lead actress and there's an all star supporting cast.
Parents of daughters (like me) be forewarned, this movie will make you very uncomfortable.
