Review of Toussaint Louverture (2012) by Michael H — 12 May 2012
Very interesting movie. This is a biopic about Toussaint Louverture, Haitian slave that gained his freedom and fought against the French army during a period between Louis XVI and Napoleon Bonaparte. Good cast, film close to the real History, despite some moments that felt to me like an "amateur" work.
This could be the "Black" Braveheart with more psychology than action.
