Two things never cease to amaze me. The absolute idiocy of human beings who try to kill themselves by getting into impossible predicaments and the things they subsequently do to survive them. I do not care how much of a thrill it is, you do not climb a mountain if you can die in the process.
This documentary chronicles the climb of two friends to the summit of Siula Grande in 1985, via a previously unclimbed route as the documentary claims. I cannot imagine how a human could go through such an ordeal that one of them went through and survive.
Then again, it would have just been a serious case of Darwinism if they had both died. You do NOT climb a mountain if it can end your life, jackass. Decent documentary though. I guess you could even call it chilling (hardy har).
