Review of Touching the Void (2003) by Jay C — 26 Feb 2009
This is a film of a true story that combines both an acting/documentary type of screenplay. The film kept me on the edge of my seat the entire way through displaying what can happen to individuals that interact with the forces of nature.
The journey of the two men is a very intense tale of exhilaration, fear, regret, and relief. The conditions in which the men had faced were so complex that you would almost believe it to be fiction. The film shows the extent of what we as humans are capable of when faced with the most dangerous/complex of circumstances.
Absolutely a remarkable movie/documentary.
