Review of Touching the Void (2003) by Peter G — 19 Mar 2010
There aren't enough documentaries out there that set out to do what this one so admirably achieved - to "Document" something. The Michael Moores of this world seems to have hijacked the genre with their "Pointofviewementeries" ... but I digress...
The mix of reconstructions and talking heads do a great job of conveying the emotions of this incredible failed mountain expedition. Definitely worth a watch if you want a look at how the human spirit can succeed against all odds.
