Review of Touching the Void (2003) by Anne F — 26 Oct 2010
We all know the story of the disastrous climb of Siula Grande by Joe Simpson and Simon Yates and that they both miraculously survived, but the film really brings home their incredible bravery and the utter impossibility of what they had to do to escape.
The documentary starts slowly, but even with the knowledge of what the outcome was their fight for life is very tense and the film moves along quickly. 8.5/10.
