Review of Touching the Void (2003) by Maria U — 26 Jul 2011
You don't have to be an extreme sports enthusiast to enjoy this excellent film that blurs the line between a real life story and an exciting adventure, Hollywood style. This documentary puts you right in the freezing snow, feeling Yates and Simpson's sheer iron endurance and amazingly strong survival instinct.
You will feel all sort of emotions along with them: Fear, loneliness, guilt, agony, despair...¦ Touching the Void is extremely compelling, and will stay in your consciousness for a long time.
