Review of Touchback (2011) by Matthew R — 22 Apr 2018
Touchback.
Directed By: Don Handfield.
Starring: Brian Presley, Kurt Russell and Melanie Lynskey.
Plot: On the game winning play of the biggest game of his life, the best High School Football player in the nation injures his knee and destroys his dreams of a college and professional career. But fifteen years later, he receives the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to go back and change history.
Review: I was really surprised at how well this movie turned out. I didn't have high hopes for it after some of the reviews but I actually was able to watch it and I was rather entertained by the movie. It was great seeing all the scenes filmed in Coopersville and trying to find myself in the film. Now for the bad this movie is very predictable, we've seen this story thousands of time but I still enjoyed the film. And the one thing that kind ofruined the final football game was the shots that were clipped together werebad in one shot the opponents have a logo on their helmet in another they are gone it really distracted me from the film.
Recommendation: This is a rent I think it is definitely worth the watch if you're from Coopersville it may be worth buying just for the fact it was filmed here and probably will be the only film ever filmed here.
