Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Aimee A — 27 Apr 2010
Touch of Evil is a clever tale of crime and corruption in the mysterious borderlands. This fascinating film-noir seems to have influenced many of the genre's subsequent films, including favorites like Polanski's Chinatown.
Although it doesn't quite measure up to the latter (in my opinion), it is still a pretty darn good film, and it will remain a classic in cinema.
