Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Maya S — 10 Jun 2008
This is a great film, although it is most famous for the amazing begining sequence which is one continuous long take, there is still more to it than that. It comments a lot on socio-economic conditions and the fluidity at the time between the Mexican and U.
S. border. It doesn't have the similarities in terms of sound use that Citizen Kane had, but it is visually stunning.
