One of my favorite parts of a movie is the opening and closing. I especially enjoy films that bookend the in-between... ...i saw touch of evil for the very first time in film school. as soon as the movie began, it blew my mind because the opening scene was like 3 minutes long--all in one take--and the music was way ahead of its time.
...of course it was.... what did I expect? orson welles directed it.
