This is a pointless remake that takes itself too seriously. I would have liked the darker, more serious tone if the different parts weren't so dumb, and the parts that were the same weren't flatly delivered.
There is also no thinking with this movie, everything is explained to you. If you have to watch a movie with an annoying person who keeps asking you questions about what is going on, though, this is the movie for you.
