Review of Total Recall (2012) by Alan W — 04 Jul 2013
A pretty good first half--great production values, decent acting--then a bad pun (and ridiculous device), then it just collapses into wooden dialog, running, and shooting. It's like they remade BOTH the first part of Total Recall and the end of The Running Man.
Ferrell is much better than Ahnold but wasted. The writing lacks ambition and settles for a lot of running around and frantic or recycled dialog instead of good writing (or good sci-fi).
