Review of Total Recall (2012) by Edward G — 12 Jul 2013
(SPOILERS) This may well be the worst remake of all time. It's not that it's nessaceraly worse than other remakes in terms of a self contained film, but this is the first re-make that ruins the earlier film.
This happens because of this film's ending couple of minutes. While the Arnie film wasn't perfect, it was still very fun and had an open ending, which it was always entertaining to debate. However, the ending of this film acutally resolves the open ending, giving a conclusive finale to the film.
People can no longer debate weather or not what they just watched was real, as they could earlier. This film has decided that for you.
