2: The whole way through I couldn't help but wish I were watching the original. It is actually a much smarter and more engaging picture. This film will quickly be forgotten if it hasn't been so already whereas the Schwarzenegger version will remain a spectacular attraction for decades for come.
Beckinsale and Biel are certainly attractive as always, but neither they nor anyone else in the film is given anything terribly interesting to do. The Colony seems like an uninspired copy of Blade Runner.
I planned to skip this until I read somewhere it was Blade Runner-esque. All in all, I should have stuck with my original inclination.
