The 2012 remake of Total Recall succeeds in two primary areas: better action and a moderately plausible dystopian set and graphics. With those two exceptions, Total Recall fails everywhere else. Total Recall (2012) takes itself too seriously; it forsakes the humor and absurdity of the original flick and replaces it with.
..oh yeah...nothing. The original is a sci-fi classic; the upgrade is flat soda. Don't bother.
