Review of Total Recall (2012) by Mark D — 24 May 2014
I don't remember anything at all from the original besides knowing I liked it. So I judge this movie strictly on it's own merits, of which there are very few.
It's plays out as a pretty dull action movie that's trying so very hard not to be.
Colin Farrel is much better in movies when he's not forced to suppress his accent. He's pretty generic action hero fare.
The two leading ladies don't5 have much to offer besides being nice to look at.
We get so little story or background on any of them.
The movie looks decent, but that's about the only positive. I feel like I should go back and watch the original now to wash my mind of this.
