Review of Total Recall (2012) by Andrew B — 28 Jun 2016
A perfectly decent sci-fi action remake that does everything competently, but excels at very little. The visuals are great (even if the future is a bit too Blade Runner) and Len Wiseman is a good action director (and not just in the sense that I lost count of just how many action scenes were stuffed into this movie), but the movie is torn between paying homage to the original and being its own, more grounded and serious take on the story.
