Review of Total Recall (2012) by Bikerjames — 19 Aug 2012
Total Recall is ludicrous in parts and full of plot holes. That said, it is SO visually stunning that I have to recommend it based solely on that. The look and atmosphere is not original and will remind you of Blade Runner, Minority Report, and the Matrix (among others), but there is so much detail and it simply looks spectacular.
All the actors seem to be into their roles and are not simply phoning it in despite some of the silly dialog and situations. The ubiquitous car chase scene was fun and didn't last overly long like chase scenes tend to.
Even though I rolled my eyes a few times I still had fun and enjoyed it.
