Review of Total Recall (1990) by Jay M — 28 Jul 2013
With the remake on the horizon: I had to go back & review this epic action thriller with star Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The year was 1990 & this film was-set to be one of the stars biggest action films of his career; seeing it at the theater on opening day entertainment wise it did not disappoint me. Sure it had your typical action movie clichés: saved by the bell, rescue scenes, & the good guy, whooping the tar, out of, the bad guy theme, at the predictable moments. It also, had characters, & a, plot of mystery, that kept, the entertaining, jubilant feelings, of suspense, laughter, & for action-fans, shoot-them-up-moments to make it, an entertaining film, for most all, viewers & critics.
I give two thumps up; it has made my list of the top 20 best action movies of the century that. Now I can only hope its remake lives up to it.
