Review of Total Recall (1990) by Jon P — 04 May 2015
Straight-faced Scwarzenegger struggles to pull off an identity crisis in Paul Verhoeven's satirical Sci-Fi classic.
With exploding heads, triple-breasted aliens and an early 90s vision of the future, Verhoeven's film dishes out the charm in spades. It's part genre-sendup, part Stilton, part politics, part genuinely good premise, and all truly great.
What could be better than a self-deprecating Sci-Fi starring Rob Bottin special effects, and Scwarzenegger at his screaming best? Simply put, they just don't make 'em like they used to anymore.
