Review of Tortilla Soup (2001) by Steve G — 02 Jan 2008
I love the combination of Spanglish with Tortilla Soup. Both movies are about chefs with daughters who love them deeply. Both chefs are sensitive and loving, though often misunderstood. Both movies invlove "Spanglish" and the blurring of lines between English and Spanish.
Food appears prominently in both films. They are my favorite double feature.
