Review of Tortilla Soup (2001) by Val C — 02 May 2008
With sumptuous Mexican servings by the ladies from Too Hot Tamales, this movie will leave you craving for Mole (or a burrito, if you're so inclined) once you're done. It's not all pointless food photography though, as the food plays an integral part in the story about a father's (Martin, a chef on the verge of losing his sense of taste) relationship with his three grown daughters.
-I have to note that it's AMAZING how Elisabeth Pena believably plays characters so very different from each other in her films. She's a brilliant actress and if it's been said before, it has to be said again.
