Review of Torque (2004) by Trista O — 12 Oct 2007
Well, it was good enough to watch when you can't get to sleep and there's nothing else but infomercials on. It actually looked halfway decent at first, but it kept getting dumber the longer I watched.
From the FBI agent who wears sneakers with a blazer and smashes through civilian vehicles with his hummer to the endless supply of motorcycles that just seem to appear every time someone wrecks theirs, it dispenses with any semblance of reality.
By the time you see someone shoot off another person's handcuff with a sawed-off shotgun without causing any bodily harm, you almost don't care. The girl was hot, but the acting wasn't. Apparently, Ice Cube thinks scrunching his nose makes him look intimidating.
Not the best movie, but if you're really bored and have already seen all the good movies, you might want to watch it.
