Review of Torch Song Trilogy (1988) by Nick B — 14 Jun 2007
A bit stagey but still a moving, funny and humane film. Fierstein is great as the gravel-voiced entertainer and Anne Bancroft is fabulous as his formidable, loving mother. The Kaddish and oranges scenes should deplete your Kleenex supply if you have a soul.
