Review of Torch Song Trilogy (1988) by Adrian A — 23 Mar 2008
A film I never tire of watching.
Harvey Fierstein's stage play translates well to the big screen and is both hiarious and touching.
Forget the gendres, this is a film about relationships and both the satisfaction and the tribulations they can bring.
It's also about "family" and proves the old saying, "You can choose your friends, but not your family.".
This is the sort of writing I love and adhire to myself; a comedy drama which can have you screaming with laughter at one moment, and the next, weeping floods of tears.
There is something in this picture for everyone; and EVERYONE will recognise SOMETHING in it.
Highly recommended.
