Review of Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970) by Edgar C — 18 Apr 2011
Impossible to mention the probability that existed once with Kurosawa releasing his version of the story.
However, as odd as it may sound, I was glad it didn't. The film would have turned out to be uneven in scope and talent. With the original filmmakers, Tora! Tora! Tora! is a respectable and, frankly speaking, technically flawless project, as historically faithful as it can be towards facts. Perfect balance, a good pace, and when I say great performances, I know the meaning of the terms "great" and "performances". Highly recommended spectacle that people usually leave for later. But trust me: do not wait any longer.
83/100.
