Capital! There's much to enjoy in this affectionate musical about the making of The Mikado. The observation of upper-class pretensions, complete with unnecessary multi-lingualism and 'dont-you-know's is consistently entertaining, as is the endless wit of Jim Broadbent's Gilbert.
The first hour or so drags badly, but it's worth it.
