Review of Topaz (1945) by David B — 26 Aug 2010
A muddled, dull, thrill-less thriller that lumbers on for an endless 2 1/2 hours. (Fun Fact: "Topaz" is Hitchcock's longest film; and he makes damn sure you feel it.) There are a couple teeny-tiny Hitchcock touches, but in main this movie is pure hack-work.
