Review of Top Gun: Maverick (2022) by Robomartion — 09 Jun 2022
It's really visceral edge of your seat no nonsense entertainment. Its biggest downfall is also its greatest and most stand-out unique quality and that is it never delves into the area of fiction like a James Bond film and is realism all the way.
It feels almost like a real life account of what it would be like to be in an elite air force. The practical effects. It also sets the bar on how to do a reboot and I'm sure will make a lot of people think about signing up to the Navy.
It is a true American film and gets the full 10 for not labelling any particular country as the enemy as well as for minimal drama with no unnecessary bickering manufactured division between the crew.
Its all about team work.
