Thirty years since the events of the original film, Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell is serving as a U.S. Navy test pilot when he is sent to act as an instructor for a group of elite pilots at the TOPGUN academy.
Top Gun Maverick is undoubtedly one of the best action movies of the last decade with absolutely staggering flight scenes that just have to be seen at the cinema. Even the plot, which is pretty much as predictable as it gets, somehow still manages to prove suitably emotional. Just a great movie all round.
