Review of Top Gun: Maverick (2022) by Gemsicle — 03 Jun 2022

With a sequel that has more charisma and suspense than the 36-year-old original film, "Top Gun: Maverick" features Tom Cruise reprising his role as Pete. Miles Teller is introduced as an on-screen pupil just like he was in "Whiplash", who is desperate to be on the Dean's list of his talent, but is pervasively lectured by his guru, however not berated.

I was involved in JROTC in high school but our unit had no aviation courses, nor did I have an enthusiastic passion for it, but I took a crack at this film to acknowledge some insight on the subject. After sitting through it, figured that a movie is a movie and will do what it takes to originate its art and present it to all that walk on the earth and look up to the flyers.
