This amazing sequel is an unapologetic homage to both the original and the US Navy. There are several call backs to the first movie and a great new storyline. The minor characters can be a little one dimensional, but there are twists and turns top the plot that I did not anticipate.
Tom Cruise is still a proper movie star here, Miles Teller and Jennifer Connelly were also fantastic.
