Review of Top Gun: Maverick (2022) by Dee-Jay_Deli — 28 May 2022

This is good, mostly because of the unique air-combat action that is thrilling to watch. Not to say the human drama doesn't do its job, but it clearly wasn't the priority in this film. It does build on the originals characters and events a little more than I expected.

It would be easy to gripe about there maybe being too many side-characters and a little more focus on the core characters and relationships would have given it more emotional punch, but that's only minor issue.

Overall, Top Gun Maverick is an absolutely thrilling experience, especially once they lift off.
