Review of Top Gun: Maverick (2022) by Kodiakb — 27 May 2022

I had absolutely 0 expectations coming to this movie - I didn’t really know what it is going to be about and neither did I see the previous movie. Nevertheless, I was absolutely stunned by an amalgamation of visual, auditory and 4D experience of the movie, it really drove my adrenaline up.

But what was more surprising is how human the movie is - it conveys emotions, hopes, ups and downs so good that it’s not possible not to care about every single character in the movie. Moreover, even though I didn’t see the first movie, I still got a great sense of nostalgia that is done just right to bring context to the movie, not just cash on peoples memories.

All in all, I’m just mesmerized by it and might go for the 2nd run.
