Top Gun gains some points for the nostalgia of the '80s, but it's actually a pretty ordinary movie. Nowhere near being a bad movie, it's actually very entertaining, with all the Kenny Loggins, flight scenes and the hilarious homoerotic volleyball, but saying it's a good movie is a stretch.
