Review of Top Five (2014) by A P — 25 Dec 2014
Corny, formulaic, cringeworthy. Oh, and very self-indulgent of Rock. This movie was a mirror of its reality: Comedian best known for and most successful with his funny stuff tries to break out of his genre/mold, and it's a flop.
The movie did have some laugh-out-loud moments, but not enough to overcome sitting through Rock playing a romantic-comedy leading man in an improbable, poorly structured, uninteresting Romantic Comedy 101 birth-of-a-relationship with Rosario Dawson.
If you really must see it, don't spend any money to do so--it'll be a waste.
