Review of Tootsie (1982) by Nat G — 30 Nov 2009
This film looks very dated now, and I really can't understand why it was nominated for so many Oscars, there could not of been any good films made in 1982 to compete. Hoffman does not make a good woman either, and if you really want a good drag film, then I would pick up Some Like It Hot, which is a much more convincing film and funnier.
But don't get me wrong I did enjoy this, I just don't understand the hype it got, maybe I need to become an American? The plot is the strong point, and for this reason I would recommend giving this a watch if it turns up on TV.
