Review of Tootsie (1982) by Hossein N — 15 Feb 2011
Feb 2011 - This was brilliant. It is very funny but at the same time very honest and with a decent social content. The character of Michael/Dorothy, played incredibly by Hoffman, is very well developed and completely believable even though it goes through so much transformation.
The movie says so much about the role of women in the society as well as in the show business. Yet it remains a personal journey for the main character who discovers qualities in himself by going through the transformation.
