Review of Tootsie (1982) by Daniel C — 14 Nov 2014
One of the greatest comedies of all time! Dustin Hoffman and director Sydney Pollack hit all the right notes in this light-hearted comedy about a womenizing actor who can only get a job on a soap opera when he pretends to be a women.
However, something wonderful happens every time hoffman's character becomes Dorothy (Tootsie), female viewers can't get enough of her no-nonsense antics, and Hoffman's character realizes something about treating the opposite sex with the decency and respect they deserve.
This is a film about putting yourself in someone else's shoes, literally!
