Review of Tony Takitani (2004) by Gerald E — 16 Jul 2007
Ichikawa's adaptation of Murakami's story painfully probes loneliness, consumption and grief. Ogata and Miyazawa provide subdued performances that contrast and reflect emotion contained in a polite society.
Purposely paced, beautifully shot and wonderfully scored by Sakamoto.
