Review of Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru (2016) by Riyad F — 17 May 2017
Tony Robbins not only thinks he's your Guru, he thinks he's your surrogate mother, father, Priest, minister and Rabbi. Besides having a major Messiah complex Robbins is a savvy marketing guy who knows that being identified as a 'guru' isn't as cool as it used to be. Hence, this movie title. The problem of courses that about 10 minutes into it you realize you've been conned -- which is probably how half the people who take his course feel.
The best thing I can say about this film is that if you were ever curious about taking a Tony Robbins seminar, but thought the 5k price tag was a bit high, this film gives you a good feel of what it's like so you can spend your money on more important things. Like therapy from a licensed therapist.
