Review of Tony Arzenta (1973) by Haydn W — 27 May 2011
Alain Delon kicks major mob ass in Tony Arzenta-Big Guns. Ive been putting watching this off for a while not sure of what to really expect and now that ive watched it I want to kick my self for not seeing it sooner.
This is a great Italian crime film. And a bit of a different paced one at that. This one really cares for its story were as a good bit of these crime films rushes through the story leaving big illogical gaps.
But sometimes thats part of the charm. Arzenta is a revenge film filled with alot of familiar faces like Marc Porel, Richard Conte and Erica Blanc in a small but very memorable role. The film is beautifully shot and the action is great.
Filled with incredible car chases and one particular breath taking sequence involving a body hanging out of a train window. This is essential veiwing for any Euro crime fan. Tony Arzenta is right up there with the best.
