Tomorrowland is a sci-fi thrill ride that definitely has a strong theme. It's a movie revolved around the general idea of perseverance and that the world is what you make it. Sometimes the theme can be lost throughout the movie. This is one of those movies where the whole thing comes together at the very end of the film. That's if you can keep track of all your questions throughout the first 2 hours.

The dialogue in this movie is one of the things that kept this movie alive. The interactions sounded very interesting and most importantly felt real. The storyline was very hectic to say the least. It really made you think but this isn't necessarily a good thing especially for the young kids that are the intended audience. I feel like this movie's actual plot is more geared towards adults or an older audience. The first hour of the film proposed a bunch of questions for anyone trying to follow the story and it felt like they were all answered way too quickly.

Throughout this film the costumes really helped match the time period and scenery. The scenery was full of great CGI between showing Tomorrowland, the Eiffel Tower, or any of the other futuristic sets. Saying the CGI was visually appealing is an understatement. It perfectly displayed the 60's view of the future. The set of Casey's house and her appearance also was crucial to show how she was just an ordinary teenager.

A major flaw for this movie is the how fast paced it is. Watching it myself being not a child I found at times it was a lot to keep up with. In a lot of scenes there was a lot going on in the background or focus of the shot. It used a lot of really good shots like a very long trucking shot when Casey just went into Tomorrowland for the first time. After learning all the camera composition rules finding them was very easy. They did a very good job at following all of the rules, but it's expected, after all it's a professionally published movie. The lighting of was appropriate to the scene but at times got really dark. Relating to the CGI the special effects were very good. I couldn't find any specific shots used in this film but instead a vast variety of different techniques.

I found that the fingerprint or distinctive style of the director was the massive amounts of CGI used. Not the CGI specifically but the creativity that the CGI showed was found in this film as well as many others like the Incredibles. This movie was a lot of things and creative was definitely one of them.
