Review of Tomorrowland (2015) by Dexter D — 05 Nov 2015
It really helps if you know your Disney history. Remembering that the 1964 worlds fair was the debut of "Small World", the "Carousel of Progress" (that includes the song "a great big beautiful tomorrow"), and "Great moments with mr.
Lincoln." It's just too bad that they didn't tie Walt into the story. The film is clearly all about Walt's vision of the future, why did they feel they needed to cut him out? I don't think he is mentioned once in the film (aside from an announcer saying "Walt Disney's 'it's a small world'.
" If I keep Walt's vision of tomorrow in the back of my mind, for me, that fixes any problems the film may have had.
