Review of Tomorrowland (2015) by Leojbourne — 26 May 2015
This movie is not just for kids. I remember attending the 1964 World Fair in NYC and going on the ride, "It's a Small World." The memories came flooding back. This is a movie that may not hang together perfectly in terms of plot, but it's not the plot that matters.
This is a movie about hopes, dreams and memories. It's a movie that will stir the heart of old folks in ways the young folks won't understand until decades later. The acting is excellent. Don't measure this film with the old yardstick of composition.
Measure it with emotion, fun, and good feelings. On that scale it gets a solid 9 from me. Regardless of whether you're old enough to remember the 1964 World Fair, Tomorrowland is worth a look.
