Review of Tomorrowland (2015) by Valcankrull — 11 Jun 2015
"Tomorrowland" was an intriguing concept with stunning visuals but I did feel that the story started to run on fumes near the end. This is a great movie for kids and a great movie for adults looking to find that sense of awe and wonder inside them that they may have forgotten.
After a wonderful performance from Charlize Theron in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ last week it was great to see two more strong female performances from Britt Robertson and Raffey Cassidy in ‘Tomorrowland’.
Sure, Clooney is on the poster and he does a fine job being Clooney, but the most delightful bit for me was the performances of the two young actresses. I recommend ‘Tomorrowland’ for its optimism, its look at what we are capable of, and for its originality as a movie; which is hard to come by these days.
That being said if you miss it in the theaters and see it at home in six to nine months that’s ok too.
