"When I was younger the future was...different." I honestly don't get why so many crapped on this movie. I think it truly captures the spirit of how the 60s depicted the future and exploring space in the media - with genuine hope and sincerity.

The quote I've put here encapsulated that spirit in the movie and their thesis earnestly arguing for us to look around and capture that hope of the future again. People accused it of being preachy, but I felt like Hugh Laurie's speech at the end hit the nail on the head - and even if it is - don't we need a wake up call in getting our politicians to focus on this instead of burying their head in the sand or denying climate change doesn't exist? I'm disappointed with apathy for this film - something the film fights against.
