This is the story of the future...and the future can be scary...

A former boy genius from the 60s bumps into a girl that tells him a familiar tale of receiving a strange pin from a girl that when touched shows them a place in the future after the world as we know it. It is hard to tell if the place is an alternate universe or the future, but they would seem to have the answers and questions on the end of humanity. The two work together to unearth what the symbols mean; meanwhile, they are hunted down viciously by people from this world hoping to stop them.

"Do you know why you couldn't make me laugh?".

"Why?".

"Because you're not funny.".

Brad Bird, director of The Incredibles, The Iron Giant, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Ratatouille, and the upcoming Incredibles 2, delivers Tomorrowland. The storyline for this picture is very interesting and well done. It has a wonderful science fiction feel to it in a kid's Matrix kind of way. The acting and action are also wonderful and the cast delivers solid performances. The cast includes George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, and Keegan-Michael Key.

"Do you want to tell me what is going on here, son?".

"No I do not.".

The previews for this looked really good when it was in theatres so we decided to grab this recently from Red Box. This was actually way better than I anticipated. The science fiction elements were very well done and more intense than the previews led on. My six year old watched it with us and was glued to it from beginning to end. I strongly recommend seeing this picture at least once.

"He thinks you can fix the world.".
